More and more governments are issuing green bonds to specifically finance environmental projects. Social bonds are also on the rise in a post-Covid environment where governments need to invest more in social projects and healthcare systems. Luxembourg has gone one step further by issuing a sustainability bond in order to finance both environmental and social projects.
